Equipment Operator

Job Description
  • Equipment Operators ensure the safe movement and functioning of heavy machines to complete specific tasks. It is their role to make sure the equipment is ready for work at all times.

    · Generates high quality work in alliance with the vision and mission of Capitol City Electric

    · Receive construction materials and deliver them to work sites as needed

    · Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment and comply with all safety rules & procedures to include personnel protective equipment

    · Arranges equipment maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations or as directed by Foreman or Fleet Manager

    · Document and track scheduled maintenance of equipment and notify Foreman if maintenance is past due

    · Carry out minimal repairs on machine when necessary

    · Cleaning of equipment after use and disposing of any collected scraps or waste

    · Adhere to safety regulations and report hazards to assigned Foreman

    · Adhere to company work policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations

    · Inspect working environment even before work begins to ensure that it is safe

    · Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse

    · Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation

    · Establish good working relationship on site

    · $1,500 Hiring bonus after 6 months
